04.20.2012 MP Gill Launches Mobile Application that will Revolutionize How We Stay Connected

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – In a world where technology has redefined how we remain connected with those around us, Parm Gill, Member of Parliament for Brampton-Springdale, launched a mobile App that will provide his constituents with a direct point of contact and information that is important to them and their families.

“This is the newest way to stay informed and connected with me and our offices,” said Parm Gill. “It allows everyone new, cutting-edge ways to engage, provide feedback and be part of the democratic process that shapes the world around them.”

The mobile App will allow people to view the latest news, keep track of how Mr. Gill votes in the House of Commons, access to CPAC and Parm Gill TV, the local 10-Point Action Plan, as well as the ability to receive the weekly e-newsletter on the go, updates on Parm Gill’s Bill C-394, and much more. Most importantly, this App offers those who elected Mr. Gill with the opportunity to learn how he is working for them, while increasing accountability and transparency.

“Access, transparency and accountability are principles that I have and always will work to uphold,” said Parm Gill. “This technology will promote these objectives by allowing my constituents to monitor, in real time, what I am working on, what my priorities are, and what I have achieved. It serves to redefine the relationship between constituents and their elected representative.”
